Robert Kinoshita

Amerikaans production designer, decorontwerper en art director. Afgestudeerd architect werd vooral bekend als ontwerper van drie vermaarde filmrobots: Tobor in de Republic-productie Tobor the Great (Lee Sholem, 1954); Robby the Robot in Forbidden Planet (Fred M. Wilcox, 1956) en The Invisible Boy (Herman Hoffman, 1957) en de robot B9 in de tv-serie Lost In Space (Irwin Allen, 1965-68).

Na het voltooien van zijn studie (1940) werden Kinoshita en zijn vrouw wegens Japanse voorouders tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog geïnterneerd.
