Engels cameraman. Fotografeerde onder meer minimaal veertien films in de Carry On-serie en drie James Bond-films: For Your Eyes Only (John Glen, 1981), Octopussy (Glen, 1983) en A View to a Kill (Glen, 1985). Werd na een conflict met de producenten ontslagen aan het eind van de opnamen van Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (Richard Marquand, 1983). Aanvankelijk clapper-loader en operator, onder meer bij films van David Lean. Eerste film als director of photography: No Kidding (Gerald Thomas, 1960).
